IgCo Natural Colostrum Skim Milk
Colostrum (also known as beestings or first
milk or "immune milk") is a form of milk produced by the mammary
glands of mammals in late pregnancy. Most species will generate colostrum
within one day of giving birth.
Colostrum is a pre-milk fluid secreted by a
mammalian mother after giving birth during the first 24-36 hours of lactation.
Rich in proteins, growth factors and immune factors
However, as human colostrums is not readily
available, we have to rely on other sources. Research has shown that colostrums
from dairy cows (bovine colostrums) is very similar to human colostrums and is
a safe alternative. In fact, it has been reported that bovine colostrums is up
to forty times richer in immune factors compared to human colostrums.
